day 21

How appropriate it is to have our new president's first day on the job be a proverb discussing him specifically "the heart of the king is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water he turneth it whithersoever he will." No matter whether you are a support or not of President Obama and his beliefs he is now your president and in this sense your king, Just pray for him because his actions can be controlled by the Lord. Nothing happens that God is not fully in control of, or has not allowed to happen; so be not weary in well doing, just continue to pray.

I personally pray for the safety of the family, and specifically for Michele, who now has to bear the burden of her family on a tremendous scale. I pray that she will be the proverbs 31 woman that God has called her to be. and her family needs her to be. Strong, diligent, not given to wine, or filthy lucre, loving, meek and kind, full of Godly wisdom. I pray for her because i know sometimes she will feel so alone, no one to talk to or no one who she feels can understand her burden, it is lonely being a leader, but eagles(leaders) don't fly in groups they fly solo for all others to admire. God Bless You Michele!

day 19 another lesson

It is so important that I as a christian be willing to receive correction; that is what this chapter of proverbs spoke most to me. Why, because it is clear that every man does ,takes action, on that which he thinks is right and or is the desire of his own heart. But this course does not make you righteous, Gods Word is the only true judge of what is right and what way leads to everlasting life in Glory! My heart is open to be searched for those things that are within me that can be improved, changed, transformed to look like Christ. Search me oh God

Day 18 taught me something

I digress to say that I didn't do my study of day 18 until day 19 but the blessing of the study still remains. Chapter 18:11 of proverbs speaks about the rich man's wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.
Well in this day and age I am seeing how futile it is to trust in wealth. Instead I am growing in faith by trusting God for all provisions; I can do this because I believe his promises are true. One of his promises is that he will provde for all my needs according to his riches an glory. Praise his name.
